I was born in the North of England and moved to New Zealand in 2005. Since then I have been privileged to become a resident of this wonderful country I call home.
Hypnosis was an area of interest to me for many years before I happened on Grant Boddington, founder of Hypnosis New Zealand. Through Grant I trained to the Advanced Diploma level and am now a HNZ Senior Professional Member (SPMHNZ).
Prior to coming to New Zealand I trained as a Mental Health Nurse and followed this path for 12 years then went on to qualify as a Social Worker specialising in Mental health and then did my post graduate in Management in Health and Social Care all in the UK. Since coming to New Zealand I have been a fully registered Social Worker with the New Zealand Registration Board and have been working in a mental health inpatient rehabilitation centre. I have specialised in mental health and been a practitioner in this field since the tender age of 17. I left working for the Health Board in 2017 to develop my Private Practice for Clinical Hypnotherapy and Counselling
Recently I was attracted by the concept of “Laughter Yoga” and trained to be a Laughter Yoga leader and am able to run groups for organisations and communities.
